Questions people ask before buying

These are the questions that come up while an operator is still deciding. Questions about running a booth day to day — printers, frames, troubleshooting — are answered in the documentation instead.

Can I try Dreambooth before paying?

Yes. There is a free tier, and the browser trial runs the full welcome, capture and result flow using a laptop webcam — no camera, printer or install required.

Is Dreambooth related to the DreamBooth AI model?

No. DreamBooth is a 2022 image-model fine-tuning method published by Google researchers. Dreambooth Studio is photobooth operator software, and the two are unrelated despite the shared name.

Do I need a DSLR, or will a webcam do?

A webcam works and is the usual way to test. For paid work most operators use a Canon DSLR or mirrorless body, which is the most stable option in the field; Nikon is stable with some caveats.

Does the booth keep working without internet?

Yes. Capture and printing run offline, and the session syncs to the dashboard once the connection returns. QRIS payment itself does need a connection at the moment of payment.

How does the money get to me?

It depends on your country. In Indonesia guests pay by QRIS and Dreambooth settles to your account with daily disbursement. In other markets — Malaysia and Mexico included — you connect your own payment gateway, and that provider settles to you directly; until one is connected the booth runs on vouchers. Every transaction is listed in the dashboard either way. Check the payments documentation for your specific market before committing.

Is it billed per booth or per company?

Per device per month. Longer commitments cost less per month, and running several devices on one plan brings the per-device price down further.

Can I use my own branding?

Yes. Welcome screens, frames, filters, flow and timeouts are all drag-and-drop, and a change pushes to every booth you run.

What happens if I stop paying?

The booth stops accepting new paid sessions when the subscription lapses. Your account, projects, galleries and transaction history stay intact, and resuming a plan brings the booth straight back.
