Can I try Dreambooth for free without installing anything?
Yes. Dreambooth offers a free trial that runs in your browser — no app install, no camera, no printer required. You go through the full welcome → capture → result flow using your laptop's webcam (or a simulated capture). See Try Dreambooth Free (No Install).
Which cameras does Dreambooth support?
Dreambooth supports DSLR and mirrorless cameras via web-gphoto2 (WebUSB), plus standard USB webcams. Canon is recommended as the most stable; Nikon is stable with a few caveats; Fujifilm is currently not recommended for production due to known PTP tethering issues. Which printers does Dreambooth support?
Dreambooth works with any printer Windows can install. The most-used printer in our active fleet is the DNP DS-RX1 (4×6 dye-sub), followed by the Epson L8050 photo inkjet for A4/A3 newspaper-style layouts. Other widely used models: DNP DS620A, HiTi P510 series, the entry-level Canon Selphy CP1500, plus several Epson EcoTank inkjets (L11050, L3110, M15140) and the professional Epson SureLab SL-D500. Up to 3 printers run in parallel with independent paper sizes. See Recommended Printers.
Do I need to install the app to try Dreambooth?
You can try the session flow in web mode (if available for your account) without installing the Photobooth App. For full testing with camera and printer, you need to install the app on a Windows PC. See Try Dreambooth Free (No Install).
What devices are supported (PC, printer, camera)?
- PC: Windows 10 or later (64-bit); see Device Requirements for recommended specs.

- Camera: See Recommended Cameras — Canon recommended, Nikon stable, plus webcam support.
Can I run Dreambooth without internet?
The app needs internet for sign-in, syncing the project, uploading sessions, and license checks. Limited offline use may be possible after an initial sync (e.g. cached project); for full offline behavior, check your plan or contact support.
What’s the difference between Platform and Photobooth App?
The Platform is the web dashboard where you create projects, frames, filters, vouchers, and manage gallery, transactions, and account. The Photobooth App runs on the booth PC and runs the guest session (welcome, payment, capture, selection, result, print). The app loads the active project from the platform and uploads sessions back. How do I know my setup is ready for real customers?
Use the First Successful Session (Go-Live Checklist): confirm app, camera, printer, project, and network; run at least one full test session including print and upload; then use the Booth Readiness Checklist each day.
