Checkout Packages

A checkout package is what the customer actually chooses and pays for at the booth. Every project gets a starter set the moment it is created, priced in the project's own currency — and that starter set is a placeholder, not a recommendation.

What a Package Can Contain

There are three kinds of line:

  • Print — a number of printed copies. This is the main thing customers buy.
  • GIF — the animated version of the session. Priced at 0 in the starter template, so out of the box it is included rather than sold.
  • Recording — the session video. Priced as a paid extra in the starter template.

Note what this costs you in credits, which is a separate question from what you charge: a standard photo session uses 1 credit, and a session that includes video or recording uses 2. See Transactions.

One Print Is Not One Strip

In the Indonesian starter template the three print options read "Dapat 2 strip!", "Dapat 4 strip!", "Dapat 6 strip!" — one print, two strips.

That is the layout, not a promotion. A 4R sheet can hold a single photo, a 2-up vertical strip, or a 4-up grid — and the classic photobooth strip is the 2-up, cut down the middle after printing. On that layout one print is two strips, so a customer buying "1 print" walks away with two.

Which means the wording only holds for the layout it was written for. Check what your frame actually produces before repeating "Dapat 2 strip!" in your own package descriptions — on a 1-up 4R frame that sentence is simply false, and on a 4-up grid it undersells you. See Paper Sizes and Frames.

The Starter Template Is Currency-Aware

New projects do not all start at the same numbers. The template is chosen from the project's currency, because a figure that reads sensibly in rupiah is alarming in dollars:

Currency1 print2 prints3 printsGIFRecording
IDR35,00060,00072,00005,000

VND250,000450,000580,000050,000

The last row is the fallback, and it is where USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and CAD land.

These are shapes, not market rates. They are round numbers picked to look like plausible kiosk pricing and to be obviously worth editing — they are not converted at any exchange rate, and they are not benchmarked against what booths in your city charge.

Set Your Own Prices Before You Go Live

Change the template before the first paying customer. Two things the platform can tell you, once you are running:

  • The copies breakdown in Analytics shows which tier customers actually pick, so you can see whether your tiers are spaced usefully rather than guessing twice.
  • The starter tiers are deliberately non-linear — three prints costs less than three times one print — so if you flatten them, expect the mix to move.

How to price for your own market is a business decision this documentation does not make for you: it depends on your consumable cost, your venue's terms, and what booths nearby charge.

Where to Edit

Packages are configured per project. Open the project in the dashboard and edit its packages there — see Projects. The booth reads this configuration from the platform rather than holding its own copy, so always confirm the new prices on the booth screen before opening.

Prices are per project, so two branches with different rent can charge differently while sharing one account.

Troubleshooting

  • The booth still shows old prices. Reload the project on the device, and check the booth's connection. See Network Issues.
  • The prices are in the wrong currency. The starter template is chosen from the project's resolved currency, so a project set up for the wrong country starts from the wrong table. See Projects.
  • Revenue per session is lower than the price list suggests. Vouchers and discounts are applied at checkout — check Transactions and Voucher.
