Device Requirements

Before installing the Dreambooth photobooth app, ensure your device and peripherals meet these requirements.

Prerequisites

  • Windows PC (production booths — see minimum specs below), or
  • Android tablet (Beta) — Android 10+; download the Beta APK from Dashboard → Installation
  • Stable internet connection for sync and licensing
  • Compatible camera and printer (see below)

PC requirements (Windows)

  • OS: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 (11th Gen or newer) or AMD Ryzen 5 (5000 series or newer) processor for optimal performance
  • RAM: Minimum 4 GB; 8 GB recommended for multiple captures and filters
  • Storage: Enough free space for the app, temp files, and session uploads
  • Display: Resolution suitable for touch or kiosk use

Android requirements (Beta)

  • OS: Android 10 or later (tablet recommended)
  • Install: Side-load the APK from Dashboard → Installation (Android (Beta) card). You may need to allow “Install unknown apps” for your browser/file manager.
  • Printing / camera: See Operating System Support — network IP printers or Remote Printing; USB-OTG for DSLR.

Camera compatibility

  • USB webcams and supported DSLR/mirrorless cameras that appear as a video device in Windows
  • Camera must be detected by the OS before launching the app

Printer models

  • Use printers with Windows drivers that support your paper size
  • Common thermal and dye-sublimation photo printers are supported
  • If the printer is not detected or uses the wrong paper size, see Printer issues

Network baseline

  • Internet required for: signing in, syncing project/config, uploading sessions, and license checks
  • For offline behavior and mobile hotspot use, see FAQ

Expected result

Your PC meets the above requirements and the camera and printer are recognized by Windows before you run the app.
